+ When does the Summer module start?

Adventurous Painters Summer 2021 will start on Monday 3rd May 2021 with a 'welcome and warm-up week'. The tasks will start in full on Monday 11th May.

+ How is Adventurous Painters different from Adventures in Paint?

Adventures in Paint is a great way to get a feel for how I teach. However, as a subscriber to Adventurous Painters you'll get a much more personalised experience, in a smaller group. Adventures in Paint has a monthly theme, whereas subscribers to Adventurous Painters are emailed a task every week. Adventurous Painters will go deeper in terms of teaching input and you'll be encouraged and supported to complete a series of paintings during each four month module. There'll be a monthly live Q&A session in the Facebook group where I'll answer questions posted in advance.

+ I work in watercolour / oils, will this group work for me?

The majority of the principles you'll expore will be applicable for working in any medium. However, the tasks will be designed mainly around working with acrylic and mixed media, so you'll get more from the group if you're willing to experiment with these materials for the excercises, even if you then apply what you've learned to your other work.

+ How is each module structured?

Each four month module runs for a total of 16 weeks. The structure of each module will be:

Week 1 - Welcome and warm up

Weeks 2-13 Weekly painting adventures emailed to you

Weeks 14-16 Catch up, complete art works, share, review

+ How long will I be able to access the Adventurous Painters tasks and Facebook group?

All the tasks will be emailed to you as well as posted in the group, so you'll be able to keep these forever. There will be a new Facebook group for each successive Adventurous Painters module and each Facebook group will be archived once the final three weeks of sharing comes to and end. After that point you'll be able to see posts but not add posts or comment.

+ How many Adventurous Painters modules will there be?

In 2021, I'll be runing three different modules of Adventurous Painters - Spring, Summer and Autumn. Each module will involve a different set of tasks but covering similar principles. All being well, I'll be running the three modules again starting in January 2022.

+ Do I have to do the Adventurous Painters modules in order?

No. You can do the modules in any order. Each module is a stand-alone experience covering similar principles through very different tasks and challenges. Your work will progress as you circle around the principles more deeply each time, through different painting adventures.

+ Can I pay in installments?

No. Adventurous Painters is an affordable way to commit to a year of painting practice, paying for a four month block at a time. I'm afraid I'm not offering a monthly payment plan at this stage. Do let me know me if this is an issue, as I may review this in the future.

+ What happens if I decide Adventurous Painters isn't right for me? Can I get a refund?

I want you to be able to try Adventurous Painters and know you can pull out if it doesn't feel right for you. So you can try the course for three weeks from the start date (including the 'welcome and warm-up' week) and if you let me know by the end of this date that the course isn't right for you, you'll be eligible for a full refund.
