FAQs

+ When does the pilot start?

Adventures in Paint starts in full on Monday 11th January 2021. You'll be able to join the Facebook group from Monday 21st December.

+ How is Adventurous Painters different from Adventures in Paint?

You'll be emailed a task every week and these will also be posted in the group 'announcements'. Adventurous Painters will go deeper in terms of teaching input and you'll be encouraged and supported to complete a series of paintings during the three months. There'll be a monthly live Q&A session in the Facebook group where I'll answer questions posted in advance. The group will be smaller and you'll get more personalised feedback on your work in the group if you want it.

+ I work in watercolour / oils, will this group work for me?

The majority of the principles you'll expore will be applicable for working in any medium. However, the tasks will be designed mainly around working with acrylic and mixed media, so you'll get more from the group if you're willing to experiment with these materials for the excercises, even if you then apply what you've learned to your other work.

+ How long will I be able access the Adventurous Painters Spring 2021 Facebook group and the tasks?

All the tasks will be emailed to you as well as posted in the group, so you'll be able to keep these forever. The Facebook group will run on for aproximately a month after the Spring module ends, for continued discussion and posting of art works. There'll be a new Facebook group for each future Adventurous Painters module.

+ Will Adventurous Painters run again?

I plan to run three modules of Adventurous Painters in 2021 Spring, Summer and Autumn. Each module will involve a different set of tasks but covering similar principles. You won't have to have done one module to do the next, as each module is a stand-alone expereince allowing you to come in at any time. However, my discounted price of £96 only applies to those starting the first pilot module in January.

+ So if I sign up at the discounted price, I get that price in the future?

As a founder member, I'm happy to hold this discounted price for you if you want to sign up for further modules. So if you choose to, you can do all three modules, and have a whole year's worth of adventurous painting, at a total cost of £288.00.

+ Can I pay in installments?

As the pilot course is at a discounted price, I'm not offering a payment installment plan at this stage. This is something I may offer in the future.

+ What happens if I decide Adventurous Painters isn't right for me? Can I get a refund?

I want you to be able to try the course and know you can pull out if it doesn't feel right for you. So you can try the course for two weeks (up to and including Monday 25th January) and if you let me know by the end of this date that the course isn't right for you, you'll get a full refund.

+ I have other questions, where can I get more information?

There are more Q&As in the general FAQs sections - do check below as you may well find the answer you're looking for.
