How would it feel to approach every painting as an adventure?
Are you the kind of painter who’s too scared to ever leave the safety of what you know?
Or are you happy to throw caution to the wind and make a mess, but then end up lost, overwhelmed and dispirited?
Are you tired of that torturous tension between wanting spontaneity but hating to go wrong?
Maybe you see so many hurdles in front of you, you never get painting at all?!
How would it be to approach every painting like the best kind of adventure?
Delighting in the unexpected, venturing into the unknown but with the confidence of a good map and guidebook to hand!
The summer module theme will be:
Working with the Outdoors
Is this your next art journey?
Adventurous Painters is for you if….
you like to be connected with a community of like-minded artists, all committed to becoming exciting, original, accomplished painters,
you like an affordable, manageably-paced way to commit to a dynamic, exciting painting practice
you’re interested in abstraction / semi-abstraction and you’re happy to work expressively with acrylics / mixed media,
you’d like to gain more understanding of the principles that underpin successful paintings including composition / design, colour, tone /value, mark-making, layers, motifs and emotion,
you’d love to see more paintings through to completion, including getting started, knowing how to cut through overwhelm and ugliness and deciding when to finish,
you long to have the confidence to work with freedom and with soul, painting from the heart of YOU.
‘This class is making me so happy. I really had no idea what I was in for but I feel I make new discoveries and meet new challenges every day - what more could one hope for?!’
